Prototype Aplikasi Barcode Scanner Berbasis Android untuk Pengecekan Stok Barang

The background of the research related to the manual stock checking system in grocery stores is time consuming, prone to errors, and less effective in monitoring stock in real-time. Therefore, a technology-based system is needed that can improve efficiency and accuracy in the stock checking process. The research method uses the waterfall cycle and UML (Unified Modeling Language) design, as well as black box testing to ensure application functionality. This application is designed to facilitate fast and accurate stock checking using barcode scanner technology on Android devices. The results of this study are an application that can be used to check stock efficiently, with a feature for retrieving stock data from warehouses and grocery stores using an API connected to the data server. Test data shows that the use of the barcode scanner application can increase the efficiency of stock checking time by up to 80% compared to the manual method. In addition, this application allows real-time stock monitoring, thereby reducing the potential for human error in the checking process, equipped with a Login feature for superadmins, admins, and checkers (Android application users), as well as product category management, product data, and transaction history. Thus, this application makes a significant contribution to the development of a more efficient and accurate grocery store inventory system, as well as increasing productivity in managing stock
