WORKLOAD ANALYSIS AND ITS IMPLICATIONS FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS INSPECTORS

Transportation, particularly the air transport sector, plays a crucial role in supporting mobility and economicdevelopment. However, the heavy workload of Aircraft Operations Inspectors can impact the safety andoperational ef ectiveness of aviation. This study aims to analyze the workload, the factors influencing it, andef orts to optimize the performance of Inspectors through ef ective workload management. This qualitativeresearch adopts a descriptive approach using interviews with three informants who are Aircraft OperationsInspectors. The findings reveal that although work targets are considered realistic, numerous external andinternal factors, such as technical constraints, work environment conditions, and health and personalmotivation issues, af ect the inspectors' workload. Overall, inspector performance is reasonably good butinfluenced by challenges in time management, coordination, and dependence on third parties. To optimizeperformance, recommendations include better task planning, management of technical dependencies, andprovision of task-sharing technologies. With more ef icient workload management, aviation safety is expected toimprove.
