Mechanism of Inhibition of Apoptosis after Cerebral Hemorrhage by Acupuncture and Its Research Progress

Apoptosis after Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is the main pathway of delayed cell death in damaged brain tissues, which is controlled by apoptosis genes, and mainly exists in the larger ischemic-edematous zone around the hematoma. Acupuncture is a centuries-old traditional Chinese medicine therapy, and in recent years, as an adjunctive treatment for ICH, its protective mechanism has gradually become a research hotspot. In this paper, we take the research progress on the mechanism of inhibition of apoptosis after ICH by acupuncture as an entry point, by combing the domestic and foreign studies on the mechanism of apoptosis after ICH and the effect of acupuncture intervention in the past 20 years. It was found that acupuncture has an intervention effect on regulating apoptosis signaling pathway, regulating dual pathway targeting apoptosis key factors, regulating the balance between autophagy and apoptosis, regulating the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells, inhibiting the oxidative stress pathway, and mediating the expression of PAR-1 protein, which can provide references to the research of related mechanisms.
