O CRISTO ESCATOLÓGICO NA EPOPEIA FEITOS DE MEM DE SÁ

This work deals with the epic poem Feitos de Mem De Sá (1563), by José de Anchieta. The text explores the victory of the Portuguese forces over the natives and over the French troops known as “França Antártica”. This historical episode is known as “Confederação dos Tamoios”, in the epic perspective, the work expresses the marvelous character in the figure of Christ, the King, the eschatological Christ, who helps Mem de Sá.
