O MITO DE ORFEU NA SÉRIE THE LAST OF US E AS ATUALIZAÇÕES ÉPICAS NA ERA DA MULTIMIDIALIDADE
The intense popularization of series on streaming platforms in the past decade, and technological advances, which have increasingly allowed the production of elaborate games, have generated a notable number of game adaptations into series format, making narratives , which previously could only be accessed through games, gained a new mode of circulation. In this way, the structural bases that formed the grammars of these languages continue, in some way, to be updated and gain new formats, in a kind of preservation of an original language that permeates the different narrative formats that we have access to in contemporary times. As a result of this observation, it is natural to realize that the updating of the epic in the era of multimediality opened up different possibilities of manifestation. In this sense, this article seeks to reflect on the presence of the epic in the narrative of the series The Last of us, an adaptation of the game of the same name, based on the relationships between the saga and the myth of Orpheus. From this, we will analyze how the series portrays the conflict between collective desires and individual desires, which is manifested, in the narrative, by the desire for restitution of a nation, and by individual actions that go against this notion, respectively.
