EVA PERÓN COMO HEROÍNA ÉPICA POPULAR: UMA ANÁLISE DE EVITA: DEL 17 DE OCTUBRE A LA CAÍDA, DE ALFREDO CARLINO
This report includes the results of research carried out as part of the Institutional Scientific Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBIC) at the Federal University of Sergipe, with the aim of investigating traces of the epic genre in the work Evita: del 17 de octubre a la caída, by the Argentine poet Alfredo Carlino. Through interrelated poems that narrate Eva Perón's historical and symbolic-mythical deeds, the author presents her as a heroic figure and reflects on her trajectory as such. The study proposes a reflection on how engaged poetry and the epic tradition intertwine, based on literary work with a theme that involves political and social struggles and resistance. Based on Anazildo Vasconcelos da Silva's epic discourse theory, Ramalho's categories on the epic genre, as well as critical records on the story of Eva Perón, Carlino's work will be focused on in its epic dimension, highlighting a heroine who did not conquer territories with swords, but who, through words, courage and actions aimed at the common good, became an epic subject in Argentine culture.
