Numerical Hydrodynamic Modeling of Rainfall Runoff Parameters in the Territory of Gelendzhik

The paper presents a numerical hydrodynamic model of the Gelendzhik drainage basin, which includes the entire territory of the city and the mountainous part of the southern slope of the Markhotsky Ridge. The model takes into account all city blocks and streets, as well as the designed upland collector for diverting part of the mountain runoff bypassing the city, water inlets on the M4 Don highway and the designed embankment collector. Variant calculations of intense low-exceedance probability rains lasting 20 and 720 minutes were performed. The flow depths, current velocities and dynamic pressure values were obtained on all transport highways of the city, and the most dangerous sections were determined. It was concluded that in order to prevent catastrophic values of these parameters on most of the territory of Gelendzhik, it is necessary to construct an upland collector for rains with an exceedance probability of ≤5%, and an embankment collector for rains with an exceedance probability of ≤10%.
