Force-displacement relationship of bolted shear connections according to the second generation of EN 1993-1-8

<ns3:p>An algorithm for the calculations of stiffness of bolted shear lap connections according to the second generation of EN-1993-1-8, based on the linear and non-linear definition of the component of bearing at the bolt hole is presented in this paper. Following the guidelines of the standard and the structural and assembly conditions, an approach for the determination of simplified force-displacement response is presented for exemplary connections, together with a comparison with experimental results</ns3:p>
