Echoes of Ethical Leadership: A Pragma-Stylistic Reading of Proverbs 11:14 in Contemporary Governance
The current study examines pragmatic and stylistic features of Proverbs 11:14 (Kings James Version), analyses and its implications for leadership traits in both ancient and contemporary contexts. This qualitative study explored a pragmatic stylistic perspective to analyze the verse’s underlying various linguistic techniques, practical functions to contextualize its historical, theological and the most significant socio-political perspective. The results findings are contextually bound to the biblical text and can be directly generalizable to all leadership contexts. By explaining how biblical wisdom literature can enlighten leadership morals, intentional communication and rigorous decision-making this exploratory and descriptive approach promotes interdisciplinary scholarship. This paper comes to the supposition that the verse framed by linguistic and dialectal accuracy, captures fundamental leadership abilities like humility, liability, and strategic exposure.
