O PROCESSO DE SELEÇÃO DE GESTOR ESCOLAR NA SECRETARIA DE EDUCAÇÃO E DESPORTO DO ESTADO DO AMAZONAS

This article has the general objective of knowing how the selection of school managers takes place at the Secretariat of Education and Sports of the State of Amazonas/SEDUC/AM, specifying the practices to strengthen school management and analyzing the correspondence with the results of the praxis of school managers, having as theoretical contributions: Almeida (2022), Freire (2021), Libâneo (2022), Luck (2020), Machado (2020), Oliveira (2021), Paro (2021), Silva (2024), among others. To clarify the subject, it was necessary to conduct a literary review on the subject, analyze educational law in a legal way, investigate in an exploratory way, carry out field research, observe as a participating author of the coordination of educational management at SEDUC, integrated in the managerial environment of the state education system of the executive branch of Amazonas, carrying out research with the target audience, school managers, surveys through the online Google Forms to collect responses and present the expected results. The studies were developed with a focus on qualitative, bibliographical and documentary research, in order to understand, together with education professionals, the satisfactory results regarding the selection of school managers currently in the Amazonas Department of Education, both in the capital and in the interior, and to enable proposals for new circumstantial measures to improve the selection of school managers in the macro-educational institution.
