Groundwater and Artesian Springs in the Figuig Oasis, Contribution to the Hydro-System Study: Eastern High Atlas
The natural environment, the population and the history are elements that interweave to produce a land identity that takes on distinctive features, within specific geographical limits, and a way of life that determines the behavior of the population and its interactions with the land. In this article, we attempt to outline the contours of the natural and climatic environment as an excellent determinant in guiding populations in their economy. By recalling the natural components and studying the extent of their impact on the territory. Identifying aspects of adaptation, focusing on of these components, and understanding the changes that the territory has undergone and is still undergoing, whether towards openness or isolation. As well as, in the planning of development programs, territorial development and spatial planning.
