PERKEMBANGAN KOGNITIF ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA PERMAINAN BERBASIS LOOSE PART
Early childhood, defined as the developmental phase from birth to six years of age, is recognized as a critical period for shaping children's cognitive abilities. Raudhatul Athfal (RA) is an Islamic early childhood education institution for children aged four to six, emphasizing active learning through play that stimulates all sensory systems. Cognitive development during this stage is essential, involving processes that enhance problem-solving skills and logical thinking. This study focuses on the use of loose parts as an educational medium to foster creativity and cognitive growth in children at RA Ar-Raihan. Loose parts facilitate experimentation and imaginative play, allowing children to engage in critical thinking and problem-solving activities. The research explores the planning, implementation, and evaluation of loose parts activities aimed at promoting cognitive development. The goal is to provide insights for teachers and educators on enhancing children's cognitive skills through engaging play. The expected outcomes include improvements in logical reasoning, creativity, and socio-emotional skills among young learners. Ultimately, the study aims to offer an empirically supported framework for improving early childhood education through innovative, hands-on learning approaches that utilize local resources and encourage active participation.
