The Film “Mr. Nobody” within the Existentialist Framework of Sartre
The film “Mr. Nobody” is an absurd yet profoundly philosophical science fiction work. Beyond the ever-present themes of the butterfly effect and superstitions like the “pigeon fallacy”, greater attention should be paid to the underlying philosophical implications concerning ‘human existence.’ This paper employs Sartrean existentialism as a theoretical lens, analyzing and exploring “Mr. Nobody” through three key dimensions: facticity and freedom, existence and nothingness, and being and freedom.
