Advancements in Periodontal Regeneration: Modern Approaches

Periodontal regeneration represents a significant frontier in modern dentistry, aiming to restore the structure and function of tissues lost due to periodontitis. Recent advances in tissue engineering, biomaterials, and molecular biology have introduced novel strategies that go beyond conventional therapies. Innovations such as growth factor delivery, stem cell-based therapies, and the application of biomimetic scaffolds have demonstrated promising outcomes in both preclinical and clinical settings. Moreover, the integration of nanotechnology and gene therapy has opened new horizons for precision regenerative techniques. This review presents a comprehensive overview of modern approaches in periodontal regeneration, highlighting their biological rationale, clinical potential, and future directions. Challenges in translational research and personalized therapy are also discussed to offer insight into the evolving landscape of periodontal medicine. DOI: https://doi.org/10.52783/jchr.v15.i2.7752
