Primary aldosteronism (Conn’s syndrome)
This is the case profile of primary aldosteronism with left adrenal adenoma (Conn’s syndrome) in a young woman that was diagnosed 18 years after the onset of hypertension. A step-wise, evidence-based approach led to the diagnosis. Unilateral adrenalectomy was followed by a substantial reduction in antihypertensive medication and correction of hypokalemia.
