Indicators of meat consumption and poultry production in the Russian Federation are more accurately modeled than similar indicators for eggs. More stable time relationships are observed in the production of poultry meat and the consumption of meat and meat products. Therefore, egg production requires special attention in the further development of the poultry industry, the formation of pricing policy, and investments in the industry. In the Republic of Bashkortostan, the state and development of the industry in 2023-2024 was and continues to be determined by the number of poultry, investment attractiveness and investor interest in the industry with significant government support. In the current conditions, extensive measures to increase production volumes and intensive measures to increase productivity in the form of breeding work and the introduction of scientific developments in the industry are necessary and are being implemented. As a result of grouping, the regions of the Volga and Ural Federal Districts are divided into three groups by the level of self-sufficiency in eggs. An analysis of the indicators of the state and development of poultry farming for each group was conducted, recommendations were developed. Directions for further research were determined, the need to revise the statistical system of indicators of the poultry industry was substantiated.
