TRENDS IN THE FUNCTIONING OF PEASANT (FARM) HOUSEHOLDS IN THE CHELYABINSK REGION
Peasant (farm) households (PFH) make a significant contribution to the development of agriculture in most Russian regions and foreign countries. At the same time, the main competitive advantage of this form of management is the production of goods manufactured with minimal use of chemicals harmful to humans and nature. Some farms are liquidated, unable to withstand competition in the market. In recent years, the agricultural sector has experienced the greatest number of crises due to the instability of prices for seeds, fertilizers, electricity, oil resources, equipment, labor, as well as finished products. Small forms of management, especially peasant (farm) households, in order to ensure their survival must unite in cooperative forms in order to process their products and earn more profit from this, increasing the profitability and feasibility of their business activities. The share of products manufactured in peasant (farm) households of the Chelyabinsk region for the period from 2000 to 2022 increased from 2,9% to 17,3%. The share of crop production in 2000 was equal to 4%, by 2022 it was equal to 35,6%, the share of livestock production in 2000 was equal to 2%, by 2022 it increased very slightly — to 2,7%. The share of products manufactured in peasant (farm) households of the Chelyabinsk region for the period from 2000 to 2022 for grain reached 50,3% of the gross production volume. The overall growth rate of grain production in peasant (farm) households of the region was 10,6 times, potatoes — 16,1 times, vegetables — 38,8 times. The share of cows in peasant (farm) households of the region increased from 2,2 to 22,2%, sheep and goats — from 3,5 to 9,9%. The formation and development of farms performs an important socio-economic task to ensure the sustainability of rural communities .
