DIGITALIZATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS: ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY AND PROBLEMS IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION

In modern conditions, digitalization is becoming an important factor in the modernization of all spheres of public life, including the education system. The introduction of digital technologies in the educational process is aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of educational services, optimizing educational and management processes, as well as developing new competencies in students that meet the requirements of the digital economy. Digital tools such as online platforms, distance learning systems, electronic textbooks, artificial intelligence in learning and big data analytics allow you to personalize education, make it more flexible and tailored to the individual needs of students. However, despite the obvious advantages, digitalization of education faces a number of problems that limit its cost-effectiveness and scalability. Among the main barriers are insufficient funding of educational institutions, poor digital infrastructure, especially in rural and remote regions, the lack of a unified approach to assessing the economic feasibility of the solutions being implemented, as well as a low level of digital literacy of teachers and administration. In addition, the transition to digital forms of education can lead to a decrease in the quality of interaction between participants in the educational process, a deterioration in the motivation of students and an increase in social inequality in access to education. This article analyzes the current state of digitalization of the educational process in the Russian education system, considers the economic aspects of the implementation of digital technologies, assesses the possible effects of their application, and offers practical recommendations for overcoming existing problems. Particular attention is paid to the sustainability of digital transformation in education in terms of long-term economic benefits and social justice. The results of the study can be used in developing strategies for the development of digital education and the formation of public policy in the field of digitalization of the education system.
