Reconsidering clindamycin–rifampicin use in hidradenitis suppurativa: balancing anti-inflammatory benefits and resistance risk

We read with great interest the article by Wainman et al., entitled ‘Is there still a role for clindamycin and rifampicin in the treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa? A review of the literature’. We would like to contribute to this important discussion by offering additional clinical perspectives.
