Sea Corridor on the Development of Artificial Intelligence in Cities along the Route: A Case Study of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region

Against the dual backdrop of economic globalization and digital transformation, the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, as a crucial logistics hub connecting western China and ASEAN, has had a profound impact on the economic development of cities along the route. However, current research mostly focuses on the corridor's role in promoting trade and logistics, while relatively little research has been done on its driving effect and mechanism on the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Taking Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region as an example, this paper uses the case-study method to explore how the construction of the new corridor optimizes the development of AI, thereby promoting the innovative development of the AI industry in cities along the route. The study finds that the construction of the https://dl.acm.org/ccsBiolinum Onew corridor has accelerated data flow and industrial integration, providing a fertile ground for the implementation of AI technology and promoting the intelligent upgrading of fields such as smart cities and intelligent manufacturing. The results of the experimental investigation show that after the construction of the corridor, the introduction of AI-related technologies in cities along the route increased by 40%, the inflow of AI-related talents increased by 35%, and the investment in the AI industry also increased by 20%. These increases in data have strongly promoted the development of the local AI industry.
