Desain dan Analisa Karakteristik Hidrodinamik Pada Lambung Ship-Bus Menggunakan Pemodelan CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
Climate change and land subsidence have increased the frequency and intensity of flooding in coastal areas such as Semarang City. This situation has led to a need for transportation solutions like the Ship-Bus, an amphibious vehicle capable of operating on both land and water. This study aims to design and analyze the hydrodynamic characteristics of three types of Ship-Bus hulls through Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. The research methodology includes 3D modeling, simulation domain and mesh setup, and analysis at velocities of 2.5 m/s, 5 m/s, and 10 m/s. Simulation results indicate that the third hull design achieves the lowest drag coefficient (Cd) at high speeds (Cd = 0.72677 at 10 m/s), which signifies better energy efficiency. Nevertheless, all designs show a significant decrease in the lift coefficient (CL) with increasing velocity. Fluid flow and pressure distribution visualizations reveal that the third hull exhibits a more consistent pressure pattern. These findings provide a crucial foundation for the development of efficient amphibious vehicles in flood-prone areas.
