Emerging terbinafine resistance in Trichophyton spp.: 20 cases of recalcitrant dermatophytosis from Sarawak General Hospital, Malaysia
Recalcitrant dermatophytoses with reduction in antifungal susceptibility are being increasingly reported in many regions worldwide. In this paper we describe clinical and mycological characteristics of patients with recalcitrant dermatophytosis, together with antifungal susceptibility patterns towards common antifungals in our region. Management and clinical outcomes are also discussed.
