Association of prenatal vitamin D concentration with the eruption time of the first primary tooth: A prospective cohort study
The association between maternal vitamin D levels and the time of tooth eruption remains uncertain. However, birth weight is an important determinant of the timing of deciduous tooth eruption, demonstrating a significant inverse relationship. The study's clinical relevance lies in its contribution to understanding complex prenatal factors that may influence tooth eruption timing, informing healthcare providers about the importance of monitoring birth weight and other potential determinants.
