Pengujian Impak dan Kekerasan Komposit Serat Kelapa Sawit Dengan Matriks Resin Epoksi
Oil palm plants are one type of plantation crop that occupies an important position in the agricultural and plantation sectors. Oil palm is a commodity in Indonesia whose development is very rapidThis study aims to determine the impact strength and hardness values of palm fiber composites with epoxy resin matrices. This study used 3 variations of fractions, namely 70%: 30%, 80%: 20%, 90%: 10%. The highest impact energy value is shown by the 70%:30% fraction variation of 0.108 Joules, and the lowest impact energy value is shown in the 90%:10% variation of 0.059 Joules, caused by the addition of filler binder material in a composite, The highest Brinel hardness value is shown by the 90%:10% fraction variation of 17.151 Kg/mm, and the lowest Brinel hardness value is shown in the 70%:30% variation of 13.138 Kg/mm, caused by the addition of matrix in a composite.
