813-nm Single-Frequency Fiber Laser for Sr Optical Lattice Clocks

We report on the development of a 3 Watts single-frequency, narrow-linewidth, linearly-polarized laser source operating at 813 nm. The proposed system presents an innovative design that employs sum-frequency generation of two single-frequency fiber lasers operating at 1535 nm and 1730 nm to produce 813-nm emission for Sr-based lattice optical clocks, offering a compact and cost-effective alternative solution to traditional Ti-Sapphire lasers.

Abstract

We report on the development of a 3 Watts single-frequency, narrow-linewidth, linearly-polarized laser source operating at 813 nm. The proposed system presents an innovative design that employs sum-frequency generation of two single-frequency fiber lasers operating at 1535 nm and 1730 nm to produce 813-nm emission for Sr-based lattice optical clocks, offering a compact and cost-effective alternative solution to traditional Ti-Sapphire lasers.
