Uniform Sampled Subwavelength Grating Waveguide Bragg Grating

We design, simulate, and characterize uniform sampled subwavelength grating (SWG) waveguide Bragg gratings (WBG) for multichannel filtering. By controlling the reflectivity of the seeding uniform SWG WBG, multiple reflection peaks can be obtained. We realize gratings with 6 reflection peaks and wavelength spacings of 1.6 nm and 2.2 nm, in reasonable agreement with the design of 1.2 nm and 1.6 nm.

Abstract

We design, simulate, and characterize uniform sampled subwavelength grating (SWG) waveguide Bragg gratings (WBG) for multichannel filtering. By controlling the reflectivity of the seeding uniform SWG WBG, multiple reflection peaks can be obtained. We realize gratings with 6 reflection peaks and wavelength spacings of 1.6 nm and 2.2 nm, in reasonable agreement with the design of 1.2 nm and 1.6 nm.
