Copolymers Used as Dopants in Acrylate-Based Resin for the Fabrication of Waveguides with Vat Photopolymerization

The additive manufacturing technique offers new exploration possibilities in the fields of optics and photonics, including the fabrication of optical components used in sensing and communication systems. In this work, we report on the optical properties of the pFeBSe and pFeF8 copolymers used to taylor the refractive index of acrylate-based resins employed with the vat photopolymerization technique for the fabrication of low-loss optical waveguides.

Abstract

The additive manufacturing technique offers new exploration possibilities in the fields of optics and photonics, including the fabrication of optical components used in sensing and communication systems. In this work, we report on the optical properties of the pFeBSe and pFeF8 copolymers used to taylor the refractive index of acrylate-based resins employed with the vat photopolymerization technique for the fabrication of low-loss optical waveguides.
