Quantum Emission in WSe2 Monolayer Transferred onto InP Nanowires

We present an experimental study on strain-induced photoluminescence enhancement in a WSe2 monolayer transferred onto a substrate with nanowires dispersed horizontally. Bright and spectrally narrow emission lines from the strained monolayer are observed. Abstract

We present an experimental study on strain-induced photoluminescence enhancement in a WSe2 monolayer transferred onto a substrate with nanowires dispersed horizontally. Bright and spectrally narrow emission lines from the strained monolayer are observed. Furthermore, second-order correlation measurements confirm the presence of quantum light emission, with an excellent g2(0) value of 0.049±0.022, underscoring the potential of this approach for deterministic generation of single-photon emitters. These results highlight the utility of strain engineering via nanowires for scalable quantum photonic applications.
