A Case Study on AI-Driven Mechatronic Systems for Automated Crime Detection and Evidence Analysis
The integration of mechatronics in forensic science and national security is revolutionizing crime detection, investigation, and prevention through advanced automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI). This study explores the role of intelligent mechatronic systems in forensic analysis, surveillance, biometric authentication, and cyber-physical security frameworks. By leveraging sensor fusion, machine learning, and real-time data acquisition, these systems enhance the accuracy and efficiency of forensic investigations while minimizing human error. The paper highlights recent advancements, including robotic crime scene analysis, AI-powered evidence processing, and automated threat detection in national security applications. Furthermore, it discusses the challenges of implementation, such as cybersecurity risks, ethical concerns, and system reliability, while proposing future research directions. The findings underscore the potential of mechatronics to transform forensic methodologies and security operations, paving the way for a more robust and technology-driven approach to law enforcement and national defense.
