Estructura de la información en la comunicación alternativa. El caso de El Salto

El Salto is a media that considers itself to be a radically different kind of journalism, which is why it has been worked on and analysed within alternative communication in this research. Moreover, it is made up of more than twenty media outlets, making it an extremely interesting case study for the Information Structure due to the richness of its origins, connections and shareholding. El Salto stands out for the originality of its proposal, the professionalism of its work and its staff, as well as the solvency it has shown so far. This research seeks to answer the question of how possible it is to make a truly alternative communication as part of the system. At the same time, it analyses how networks of power also exist within alternative communication. From the analysis carried out on the monthly El Salto, a media network can be seen, with its consequent power relations, which shows how the market economy is present in all communication initiatives, due to the fact that a medium, however alternative it may be, must have economic solvency to survive, and therefore, in one way or another, it depends on the capitalist system of which it forms part and to which it pays tribute.
