Adapting the Technique for Integral Evaluation of Productivity [TIEP] for Industry 4.0

Industry 4.0, characterized by the integration of smart technologies and digital transformation, has transcended the industrial sphere, impacting key sectors such as education. Its adoption in Federal Technological Institutes demands assessment tools that consider both their internal and external contexts. To address this need, this article proposes the Technique for Integral Evaluation of Industry 4.0 [TIE-I4.0], a tool adapted from the Technique for Integral Evaluation of Productivity [TIEP], but redesigned to meet the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution.TIE-I4.0 redefines the assessment factors, incorporating key dimensions such as, the integration of emerging technologies, the digitization of processes and human-machine cooperation. This paper details the conceptual and methodological modifications made for its development, offering a comprehensive framework that allows assessing the readiness of educational institutions towards an environment aligned with Industry 4.0.
