Single-Input Dual-Output WPT System Based on Double-Tuned Series-Series Resonance and Its Decoupling Control Algorithm

This paper introduces a single-input dual-output (SIDO) wireless power transfer (WPT) system based on a dual-tuned series-series (DT-SS) resonant circuit, to address the demand for independent dual-voltage regulation in advanced medical devices such as computed tomography (CT) scanners. The system employs simultaneous dual-frequency transmission at 60kHz and 180kHz. By optimizing resonant capacitor parameters to enable simultaneous dual-frequency operation and implementing a hybrid asymmetric duty cycle-phase shift (ADC-PS) control strategy, the system achieves decoupled power regulation for two output channels. The ADC-PS modulation introduces three degrees of freedom (two bridge-arm midpoint-to-ground voltage duty cycles and an inter-bridge-arm phase-shift angle) to suppress cross-channel interference. Experimental results using a CT prototype validate a peak system efficiency of 87.65% at the maximum total output power of 400W, exhibiting near-complete decoupling between both secondary outputs. The system demonstrates stable 48V-to-96V regulation in the primary power loop and simultaneous 12V-to-24V regulation for control electronics, with both loops operating independently under dynamic loading conditions while sustaining regulated voltage stability.
