Obtaining a Mixed Oligodendrocyte and Astrocyte Culture From Adult Mouse Neural Stem Cells

(2021) This video demonstrates a detailed protocol for isolating the lateral ventricle walls from the adult mouse brain and performing enzymatic tissue dissociation to obtain single cells. These cells are then subjected to specific culture conditions that selectively enhance the proliferation of neural stem cells and promote their differentiation into co-cultures of oligodendrocytes and astrocytes.
