Research on Hardware Design of Embedded Control System for Labeling Machines in Industrial Automation Applications

As a key component of the modern packaging industry, labeling machines play an indispensable role in product identification and traceability management, especially in strictly regulated industries such as the pharmaceutical and food industries, which require strict product traceability. The hardware structure of a high-precision automatic labeling control system based on embedded system technology is studied. The design is centered on the ARMcortex-m3 ST32F103 microcontroller, integrating several key components, including a multi-channel stepper motor drive module, an electromagnetic control unit, an industrial-grade communication interface (RS485/RS232) and a human-machine interface unit and optimizing the design of the power management and I/O interface circuits, and designing a labeling machine minimum hardware system. Hardware system research using MATLAB neural network algorithm to build intelligent optimization system to complete the model training. Several key parameters of the system operation iterative optimization, optimized parameter combinations can system failure rate control to within 2%0. Measured data show that the system in the steady state accuracy of 0.01 at the same time, the hardware cost than the traditional program has a significant decline in dynamic performance and economic indicators are beyond the design expectations, which indicates that the overall performance of the hardware system is better, to provide new ideas for the relevant areas, to promote the development of the labeling industry in the direction of high efficiency and benefit.
