Mapping the Research Trends and Hotspots in “Artificial Intelligence and Environmental Sustainability” ——A Comprehensive Bibliometric Analysis
With the theme of “Artificial Intelligence and Environmental Sustainability”, this study uses bibliometrics to find the latest research hotspots and development trends. We carefully selected literatures published between 2014 and 2025 from the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC) database. We then used VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and Scimago Graphica to conduct an analysis of global research profiles, research collaboration networks, and emerging research topics and trends. It turns out that after 2019, there is a growing global interest in the field. China, the United Kingdom, the United States and India are particularly active. A network of research collaborations is emerging, although the intensity of collaboration remains low. The latest research focuses on applying AI technology to environmental areas such as climate change mitigation, smart city development and renewable energy development.
