Game Theory for Optimizing Fresh Food Supply Chain

In the current wave of the Internet, the dual-channel sales approach for fresh produce has become the choice of more supply chain members. This paper takes the dual-channel fresh produce supply chain as the research object and utilizes the Stackelberg game model to solve for the optimal strategies and profits of the supply chain under two different decision modes: centralized decision-making and supplier-led decentralized decision, considering factors such as freshness preservation efforts, sales prices, and sales quantities. The results indicate that centralized decision-making can significantly enhance the overall benefits of the supply chain compared to decentralized decision-making. Collaborative logistics and centralized decision cooperation among members of the fresh produce supply chain reduce the investment costs of freshness preservation efforts, achieving a win-win situation for all members of the supply chain.
