Utilizing BIM and Digital Twin Integration to Optimize Traditional Residential Green and Energy-Saving Strategies
In light of the issues surrounding energy consumption, efficiency and maintenance costs of green energy conservation in existing traditional dwellings, this paper is intended to address the green energy conservation performance of traditional dwellings through an integrated BIM and digital twin technology approach. (1) Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology is used to generate a three-dimensional digital model of traditional dwellings, integrating structural, material, and equipment information; (2) Digital twin technology is employed to monitor energy consumption and environmental sensing parameters of dwellings in real time, collecting data via an Internet of Things (IoT) sensor; (3) The LightGBM (Light Gradient Boosting Machine) algorithm is employed to analyze the energy consumption pattern of dwellings and optimize energy use strategies based on the data collected. The effectiveness of the proposed optimization scheme is verified through simulation after some results are shown to verify success of the optimization scheme after the integration of BIM and digital twin results in a 24.07% reduction of traditional dwelling energy consumption and a reduction of maintenance costs of 2.23 thousand yuan, the use of BIM and digital twin indicates a significant green energy performance possibility for traditional dwellings.
