In modern economic conditions, ensuring the economic security of business is one of the dominant factors in improving the efficiency of SMEs in Russia. Therefore, the study of factors and conditions that have a direct impact on the economic security of doing business is becoming increasingly relevant. The results obtained confirm the hypothesis that the level of economic security of small and medium-sized businesses is influenced not only by internal components of formation, but also by the conditions created in the economy to ensure it. The results of the approbation may be of interest to: small and medium-sized businesses in the development of management solutions aimed at improving the economic security of their business; government agencies in the development of measures to support and develop small and medium-sized businesses; rating agencies in the development of rating methodologies.
