The concept and essential nature of interregional imbalances in the socio-economic development of regions

The article presents the concept and essential nature of interregional imbalances in the socioeconomic development of regions. Various options for assessing interregional differences are being considered in the article. The factors influencing interregional imbalances are also considered. The article presents an analysis of works containing classical and modern theories of regional development on interregional differences. The article consideres which theories are best suited for assessing interregional imbalances in Kazakhstan. It highlights the causes and consequences of interregional imbalances. The developed classification of interregional imbalances is presented in the article. According to the article, interregional imbalances can be classified according to the following criteria: economic, social, territorial, and institutional. В статье представлено понятие и сущность межрегиональных диспропорций в социально-экономическом развитии регионов. Рассматриваются различные варианты оценки межрегиональных различий. Рассмотрены факторы, влияющие на межрегиональные диспропорции. Представлен анализ работ, содержащих классические и современные теории регионального развития, посвященные межрегиональным различиям. Рассмотрено, какие теории лучше всего подходят для оценки межрегиональных диспропорций в Казахстане. Выделены причины и последствия межрегиональных диспропорций. Представлена разработанная классификация межрегиональных диспропорций. Межрегиональные диспропорции можно классифицировать по следующим критериям: экономическому, социальному, территориальному, институциональному.
