Study of the microscopic morphology of lungs in sheep

This study aims to present and describe the histologic structures of the sheep lung. Using advanced microscopic imaging techniques, this study performs a thorough evaluation of histological samples, analyzing the complex structural appearance of the lung in sheep. The specimens used for the study were collected post-mortem from several areas of the lungs. Two staining methods were used in this study: Hematoxylin and Eosin for general tissue morphology and Mallory staining for connective tissue differentiation. By histologic examination of the structural components of the lungs, it can be concluded that this major organ of the respiratory system provides numerous physiologic functions such as respiratory gas exchange and has a role in providing immunity by the presence of lymphoid cells at this level. The results obtained in this study aim to improve the existing knowledge of lung morphology and physiology in sheep.
