ANALYSIS OF COMMUNITY ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMS INCREASING WELFARE IN LACKWARD AREAS (CASE STUDY OF SIRI-SORI SERANI VILLAGE)

This research targets the object of community economic empowerment towards improving the welfare ofdisadvantaged areas. The purpose of this research is to analyze whether the community can be empoweredeconomically by providing various kinds of mentoring programs and so on, which will increase the level ofwelfare in disadvantaged areas or not. This research uses a qualitative research type to describe the researchobjectives and variables. The data in this research was collected by means of interviews, documentation anddirect observation or observation. Meanwhile, the method for analyzing data uses thematic and discoursemethods. The data used is primary data from observations and interviews and secondary data fromdocumentation. The research location is in Siri Sori Serani Village, East Saparua District. The results of thisresearch show that the implementation of empowerment and assistance programs for the welfare ofdisadvantaged areas and communities has been carried out but has not been optimal and Siri Sori village,based on the research results, is categorized as a disadvantaged village.
