Microalbuminuria como indicador de daño renal en pacientes atendidos en el laboratorio de análisis clínico Clinilab del año 2023

Microalbuminuria is a key early predictor of kidney damage and cardiovascular risk, indicating endothelial dysfunction associated with hypertension, diabetes, and modifiable risk factors, allowing for the detection of serious complications such as chronic kidney disease and heart failure. The objective of the research was to analyze microalbuminuria as an indicator of kidney damage in patients treated at the CLINILAB clinical analysis laboratory in 2023. The methodology used was observational, descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional, and mixed. The population consisted of 404 patients who underwent microalbuminuria testing in 2023, and the selection was made using a random sample of cases, obtaining 151 patients. The results show that microalbuminuria is highly prevalent in patients with kidney damage and cardiovascular risk. Older men show a susceptibility to diabetes and hypertension linked to low HDL, especially in older adults. There is a strong link between microalbuminuria, kidney damage, and cardiovascular damage, supported by accurate estimates highlighting its diagnostic usefulness. It was concluded that microalbuminuria has a notable prevalence for the early diagnosis of cardiovascular risks and kidney damage.
