On the issue of assessing the economic efficiency of trucks

The article proposes a method and algorithm for assessing the economic efficiency of commercial vehicles in operation. The method is based on calculating cash flows generated by a vehicle during its operation. The indicators of economic efficiency of commercial vehicles are calculated using discounted cash flows. Formulas for calculating the inflow and outflow of cash from vehicle operation for accepted operating conditions are provided. The method allows assessing the economic efficiency of commercial vehicles purchased under different schemes. An example of assessing the economic efficiency of domestically produced flatbed trucks competing on the market is given when purchasing them using their own funds, on lease, and on credit.
