SiN Chip-based Photon-Pair Source Connecting NIR Solid-State Memory with Telecom O-band for Quantum Networking

We propose a CMOS-compatible photon-pair source based on SiN offering simultaneous high spectral-purity ( ≥ 99.9%) and polarization-entanglement (concurrence upto 0.99), with the signal photon at 794-nm for addressing Tm-based quantum memory and the idler at ∼ 1283-nm (telecom O-band).

Abstract

We propose a CMOS-compatible photon-pair source based on SiN offering simultaneous high spectral-purity ( ≥ 99.9%) and polarization-entanglement (concurrence upto 0.99), with the signal photon at 794-nm for addressing Tm-based quantum memory and the idler at ∼ 1283-nm (telecom O-band).
