Design and Implementation of the integrated motor controller and driver for the Tuning of RF Cavity
To achieve the tuning of the center frequency of the Radio-frequency (RF) cavity in the storage ring of a synchrotron radiation accelerator, in this paper, the engineering design for the tuning motor controller and driver to be used for the RF cavity has been introduced in detail. The design covers aspects such as overall module design, technical parameter specifications, component selection, and circuit design. Performance tests have been also conducted on the developed controller. The experimental results show that all performance indicators meet the design requirements. The designed controller can effectively drive and control the stepper motor of the tuner, thereby enabling effective frequency tuning of the RF cavity.
