Enhancing a Creative Support Tool with the TRIZ Method: A Textile Design Prototype Utilizing Projection Mapping

The Creative Support Tool (CST) in textile design has been developed since the advent of graphical user interfaces (GUIs). However, there is still room for further development, particularly in the ideation phase, especially for inexperienced designers. This research aims to evaluate a prototype that integrates projection mapping techniques with the TRIZ method, potentially enhancing its effectiveness in textile design. The study combines ethnographic methodology with the Usability Metric for User Experience (UMUX). The results highlight four key factors—segmentation, merging, nesting, and color changes—that support the design process. Additionally, the evaluation process contributes to the ongoing development of the prototype and proposes ideas for future improvements.
