A Comprehensive Framework for Developing AI General Education Courses in Higher Vocational Education

Amidst the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, both the industrial and educational sectors are experiencing significant transformations. Higher vocational colleges are increasingly recognizing the urgent need to enhance the development of compound talents who possess both AI knowledge and skills. To integrate AI science and technology into general education, it is essential to first establish a comprehensive framework for the development of AI general education courses. The formulation of course objectives should take into account students' individual differences, align with national curriculum standards, and meet industrial demands. Subsequently, an analysis of AI technology application scenarios should be conducted based on these objectives. The selection and sequencing of course content should be informed by an analysis of technical activities, thereby ensuring the seamless integration of theory and practice. The implementation of the course should be supported by the school as an organizational guarantee, with teachers serving as learning facilitators. An open evaluation method should be adopted to promote students' personalized development and foster their lifelong learning abilities.
