Auditing of Shared Data in Cloud Storage with User Privacy Preserving -Using AES Algorithm

The Provable Data Possession (PDP) paradigm enables users to verify the integrity of data stored in cloud environments. When sensitive data is shared among multiple users, it becomes critical to preserve the anonymity of the data uploader during audits. Many existing PDP systems address this by incorporating user identity privacy. However, most rely on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), which involves significant certificate management overhead. Additionally, the computational costs borne by auditors in these systems often reduce overall efficiency. To address these limitations, we propose a novel identity-based PDP protocol designed to efficiently audit the integrity of group-shared data while preserving the uploader’s privacy. By leveraging the inherent advantages of identity-based cryptography, this protocol eliminates the need for certificate maintenance. Unlike prior approaches, it ensures the linkage between data and its uploader during evidence generation, not during integrity verification, enhancing both privacy and efficiency.
