Performances Enhancement of Patch Antenna Using Split Ring Resonator for 5G Communication Systems
In this paper, an enhanced patch antenna design is presented for 5 G communication systems. The proposed antenna contains two radiator elements with two complementary split-ring resonator (CSRR) structures placed at the top of the patch in the same layer to improve the antenna performance at 28 GHz. The entire antenna exhibits a reflection coefficient of -25 dB with 2.5 GHz of bandwidth. The simulated results show that the antenna achieves a gain of 9.3 dBi, low SLL and high efficiency.
