Using Design-Based Learning Approach Integrated with Immerse Virtual Reality to Enhance Computational Thinking
Computational thinking is seen as the core literacy of 21st century talent, and many countries and institutions are actively investing resources in cultivating this ability. Immerse virtual reality technology provides a new teaching method for embodied learning, and different degrees of embodied interaction have different effects on learning results. Based on this, this study designed an innovative teaching mode integrating Design-Based learning approach and VR to explore the effects of low-embodied interaction and high-embodied interaction on students' computational thinking and learning performance. Through the experiment of 42 undergraduates majoring in digital media technology, the research results show that DBL approach integrating virtual reality significantly improves students' computational thinking, especially in the aspects of problem solving, algorithmic thinking and collaborative thinking, and the learning performance of high embodied is better than that of low embodied.
